“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”

And indeed to seek this change the Marena auditorium glittered with budding aspirants as all of Sikkim had gathered to witness the Entrepreneurs’ Meet 2017.“Entrepreneurship is not about having an idea but is a complete package of transforming the thoughts to reality,” began the hosts for the day. Sticking to traditions the event began by lighting of the diya and then a traditional welcome of the guests, Hon’ble MP P D Rai, VC of SMU Brig. (Dr.) S N Mishra, Director of SMIT Col (Dr.) A Garg, Pankaj Thakar, Amol Chaphekar, Krishanu Seal, Manish Rohtagi and Abhijeet Kumar, with a bouquet.

The CEO of Evento Opus, Anirudh Amin spoke how had it began as a journey with only 5000 rupees in hand to where he stood today and welcomed the ones present.

With greetings of the auspicious morning, our Director sir took over the dais speaking of his pride over his students, many of whom had went into the path of entrepreneurship. He inspired the audience to have their own companies in the Northeast to benefit the state and thanked the audience for their presence.

Director sir was taken over by VC of SMU, (Dr) S N Mishra sir who brought before us the issue of the downfall of the IT Sector. An entrepreneur according to him, was the controller of Men, Material and Money; so why not be the employer instead of an employee. Putting before us his desire to draw inspiration from the stories of the lives of the cream of this field, he signed off.

Hon’ble MP P D Rai sir then introduced into the world of his entrepreneurship which had both political and social aspects with stories from his life. Explaining instances from daily life from how the cab companies did not own taxis themselves but took over the market by squeezing the world into an app.”When going gets tough, the tough gets going,” he quoted and showing us the deeds of his party which had made Sikkim challenge its limits since the last 25 years, P D Rai sir left the dias with a dream of a 1000 start-ups in the following year.

The event was wrapped up by Prof. (Dr.) Tej Chingtham who extended his gratitude to all the guests for being a part of the event and inspired the audience to “Work for yourself and don’t run behind the salary.
”And thus with lots of hopes and aspirations, the grand Entrepreneur’s Meet had finally commenced."

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”

The word; the forth-speaking of a thought, an idea, a truth, is the beginning of every new is the inauguration of every new order of things, every coming of a better time.
